Reality Show Stars Talk to Holly Hill Middle School Students

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. - Nov. 9, 2014 - PRLog -- Ron Shirley, one of the stars of the hit reality show “Lizard Lick Towing & Recovery” recently spoke to the students at Holly Hill Middle School about overcoming obstacles, and how he came from humble beginnings and a troubled youth, to becoming a star of his own hit reality show on truTV.

“We became friends with the Lizard Lick crew after we worked on the show’s cargo trailer,” said owner of Best Price Trailers Robin Hanger. “They wanted to do something to help us out after we did such a great job on their trailer and we wanted to ‘pay it forward’ and asked them to speak to the students at Holly Hill Middle School because we thought they could make a real impact with their story,” Hanger added.

The show’s two main stars, Ron and Amy Shirley, both visited the school and Ron addressed the students. Ron was raised as a simple Johnston County, NC farm boy, growing up plowing fields and tending livestock. He talked about setting his life straight after getting in trouble with the law when he was younger and overcoming substance abuse troubles. Johnny Reynolds, Ronnie's cousin, who occasionally helps out with the company and family on the show, organized the visit.

The show premiered in 2011 and is a spin-off of the truTV series ‘All Worked Up’, and follows Ron, Amy, Bobby and their team of repossession agents in the Raleigh suburb of Wendell, NC.
