LAKE WORTH, Fla. - Nov. 6, 2014 - PRLog -- FORGOTTEN SOLDIERS OUTREACH, INC. (FSO) HONORED AS 2014 TOP-RATED NONPROFIT GreatNonprofits.org Award is based on Positive Online Reviews

Lake Worth, Fl (11/5/14)
–Forgotten Soldiers Outreach announced today that it has been honored with a prestigious 2014 Top-Rated Award by GreatNonprofits, the leading provider of user reviews about nonprofit organizations.

We are excited to be named a Top-Rated 2014Nonprofit,” says Lynelle Chauncey Zelnar, Executive Director of Forgotten Soldiers Outreach.  We are proud of our accomplishments this year, by benefiting thousands of our military serving overseas thru our monthly “We Care” packages, and helping over 120 of our local veterans in need at the homefront with free furnishings and household items through our Thrift Store we opened in 2013.  The Top-Rated Nonprofit award was based on the large number of positive reviews that Forgotten Soldiers Outreachreceived – reviews written by volunteers, donors and clients. People posted their personal experience with the nonprofit. For example, one person wrote, “This organization helped me and my deployed son when I couldn't send what he needed or what his Unit wanted. They didn't ask questions other than the normal security questions which are APPRECIATED...but they stepped up and helped an entire unit!!!!”   Another review read  “This organization helped me and my deployed son when I couldn't send what he needed or what his Unit wanted. They didn't ask questions other than the normal security questions which are APPRECIATED...but they stepped up and helped an entire unit!!!!”   Another review read “The first time I walked into the warehouse, I teared up. It was amazing to see all of the donated items and to partake in putting the care packages together. I have personally met a recipient of Forgotten Soldiers Outreach and he expressed his deep gratitude for the organization. With the growing number of soldiers signing up for care packages, we need to spread the word to continue receiving donations and funds to ship the packages overseas.“

While the Top-Rated Awards ran through the end of October, Forgotten Soldiers Outreach is part of the inaugural group to qualify for the year. In addition, they have been added to GreatNonprofits #GivingTuesday Guide—an interactive guide to top nonprofits throughout the years. Look for this near the holidays.

“Savvy donors want to see the impact of their donations more than ever,” said Perla Ni, CEO of GreatNonprofits, “People with direct experience with Forgotten Soldiers Outreachhave voted that the organization is making a real difference.”

Being on the Top-Rated list gives donors and volunteers more confidence that this is a credible organization. The reviews by volunteers, clients and other donors show the on-the-ground results of this nonprofit. This award is a form of recognition by the community.
