Traveling west on Highway 89– and you’ll see to the north and northwest Coffee Pot Rock, Capitol Butte and Chimney Rock. Take a trip to Boynton Canyon (turn north at Dry Creek Road) to see the magical sites of the ancient Native American tribes. Just past West Sedona, you can drive the Red Rock Loop to the famous Red Rock Crossing and see Cathedral Rock from a whole new angle.
Be sure to travel the route at sunrise and again at sunset as the red rock takes on a whole new look as the sun moves across the Red Rocks of Sedona
