Nov. 5, 2014 - PRLog -- BORDENTOWN, N.J. –Princeton Tec (http://princetontec.com/) is introducing a full run of new high-octane lights to the dive world that will enhance any underwater experience. An American manufacturer and industry-leader in outdoor lighting, Princeton Tec unveils their new Sector 5, Sector 7, and Genesis handheld lights, as well as the Meridian strobe for maximum lighting output and superior, test-proven durability. The handhelds provide easy operation and big-time brightness, while the Meridian is a powerful beacon that can be seen for miles.

“With these powerful and affordable new additions to our Dive lineup, we are bringing next-level illumination to the industry our company got its start from in 1975,” said Dave Cozzone, Vice President of Princeton Tec. “We aim to provide a versatile collection of lights that are user-friendly and offer an array of lighting options suitable for any underwater adventurers’ needs.

THE DETAILS:

Genesis –
Durable and compact, the new Genesis (http://princetontec.com/genesis) light packs one powerful 650-lumen Maxbright LED into a slim aluminum handheld. A quick tap of a recessed button accesses a high setting for maximum output, a low setting for up close tasks, and an SOS signal for emergency use. A battery level indicator glows blue during use and switches to red with 25-percent battery life remaining to ensure efficient use underwater. Waterproof up to 100 meters/IPX8 and utilizing two lithium batteries to handle cold temperatures, the sleek Genesis craves adventure.

Sector 5 & 7 – Designed for power and convenience, the Sector 5 (http://princetontec.com/sector-5) and Sector 7 (http://princetontec.com/sector-7) handhelds pack 550 and 700 lumens, respectively, for deep underwater adventures (waterproof to 100 meters/IPX8). A new trigger design makes usage simple (even with gloves), and a lock- out switch prevents accidental illumination or battery drain. For a momentary flash, a half-pull of the trigger will do the trick. The Sector 5 uses four C-batteries to power a single Maxbright LED for up to 24 hours. The big brother Sector 7 handheld utilizes eight C-batteries to power its single Maxbright LED up to 30 hours. Durable, ergonomically designed, and waterproof, the Sector 5 and Sector 7 handhelds will rise to any diving challenge.

Meridian – Whether diving the ocean’s mysterious landscapes or squeaking in a dawn patrol SUP, the Meridian (http://princetontec.com/meridian-strobe) is your versatile beacon. About the size of a deck of playing cards, the Meridian LED emergency strobe and personal locator beacon is visible for a mile with its 100-lumen white LED. The Meridian consists of one white emergency strobe or one locator red strobe. A large, user-friendly toggle switch makes transitioning from one mode to the next a cinch, even with gloves on. Low profile and versatile, the Meridian easily attaches to a PFD, dive tank, SUP, kayak, or any surface with either an included Velcro strap or any 1” webbing. Built to withstand burly amphibious activities, the Meridian is tough and waterproof up to 100 meters/IPX8.
