Moco Inc. Releases Next Generation of Market-Leading MyScreeningReport.com Tenant Screening Product

SEATTLE - Nov. 5, 2014 - PRLog -- On October 23, 2014 Moco, Inc. released the second generation of its market-leading MyScreeningReport.com® (MSR) tenant screening product.

Originally released in 2009, MyScreeningReport.com pioneered the applicant initiated tenant screening world. MSR is inherently transparent, legally compliant and portable – making it an ideal solution for Independent Rental Owners who might otherwise lack access to high quality and legally compliant tenant screening products.  Its inherent portability - the ability to share a report with multiple landlords - is appealing to low income and other hard to place applicants who often pay multiple tenant screening fees prior to finding a landlord who will accept     them.

This latest version of MyScreeningReport.com incorporates improvements in content, security, compliance and convenience.  Content is improved in two ways. First, in collaboration with Experian, MSR has incorporated the Experian Connect℠ platform, which delivers Experian credit reports with a VantageScore^® 3.0 credit score. VantageScore 3.0 is a highly predictive, consistent credit risk score. This improved scoring model allows for 30 million more consumers to be scored in comparison to other scoring models. Secondly, credit is updated each time the report is shared – assuring end-users (landlords) that they have the most current information available. “Soft” credit inquiries are created each time the applicant “shares” their report (via MSR).  Soft inquiries provide the necessary audit trail without negatively impacting the applicant’s credit score.

MSR improves security and compliance by authenticating each “End-user” (landlord) – confirming that they are who they say they are and that they have a legitimate need (permissible purpose) for accessing consumer reports as defined by the Fair Credit Reporting Act – which includes tenant screening reports.  Landlord authentication and credentials are valid for up to one year – improving convenience for those with multiple rental properties.

Content and compliance are enhanced by the native transparency of the process – the fact that the applicant has an opportunity to review the report (and dispute anything they believe is being reported in error) before it is shared (by them) with the landlord and impacts their search for housing.  MSR reports are paid for (once) by the applicant and available (to share) for 30 days from the completion date.

There are no sign up fees, site inspections or paperwork required of landlords – who either direct their applicants to MyScreeningReport.com or “invite” them to apply via MSR’s integrated referral form.

MyScreeningReport.com report quality is excellent.  Reports include an Experian credit report and score, thorough criminal and eviction searches (including AKA’s), and optionally, rental and employment verifications – providing landlords with the information they need to make informed decisions and protect their investment.  Reports are completed by trained investigators and reviewed for completeness and accuracy prior to release.  Turn-around times range from 30 minutes to 2 hours (on average) for Basic Reports – a few hours to a day or two for Comprehensive reports (depending on the responsiveness of previous landlords and employers).

MSR utilizes a state of the art encryption and an EI3PA Level I certified data center to process and store sensitive data. Both applicants and end-users are authenticated prior to accessing MyScreeningReport.com tenant screening reports. This helps reassure applicants that their information is being securely and appropriately shared and lets end-users know that the screening report that is being provided is authentic.
