RALEIGH, N.C. - Nov. 5, 2014 - PRLog -- Erin Cohen, President of National Association of Women Business Owners (NAWBO) Greater Raleigh, announced that NAWBO will host an intuitive individual assessment and informative luncheon led by Kerry Ahrend, M.S., PMP, entitled “Effective Communication = Increased Connection & Productivity” on Wednesday, November 19th.  The assessment and lecture is open to both members and guests and will be held at Embassy Suites on Harrison Oaks Drive in Cary. The assessment will begin at 10:15 AM and will end at 11:30 AM. The luncheon will be held from 11:30 AM – 1:30 PM.  Cost is $35 for members and Community Partners to attend the luncheon only, $45 for guests to attend luncheon only, $60 for members and Community Partners to attend luncheon and workshop, $70 for guests to attend luncheon and workshop, and $50 at the door – no workshop.

Would you like to connect with clients and colleagues more effectively? Increase productivity and reduce conflict? Gain insight and better understanding of yourself and others?  Find the answers to these questions when you discover your own behavioral patterns at the 10:15 am DiSC assessment prior to learning how to apply them during the program at 11:30 am. While taking the DiSC assessment is not required for luncheon attendance, it will improve your understanding of your own behavioral patterns and help you get the most from our luncheon discussion.

The DiSC system looks at four basic styles of thinking, feeling and acting in a specific situation knows as the four temperaments. The four DiSC dimensions of behavior are dominance, influence, supportiveness and conscientiousness. The assessment helps one work and relate more effectively with other as one becomes aware of the four temperaments. The knowledge you gain from DiSC assessment can be used to:

improve interpersonal communications
connect with co-workers and customers more effectively
enhance individual and team performance
better understand how to lead, motivate, and inspire your team
reduce destructive conflict
increase productivity
get better results
