Self Taught Web Design Expert Named Web Development Manager at Captain Marketing

LOS ANGELES - Nov. 5, 2014 - PRLog -- In a nod to the Bill Gates model for an unconventional ascent to management, self made web design expert Danny Fuentes has been named Web Development Manager at Captain Marketing. As a highly sought after position in an extremely competitive industry, the Captain Marketing position means a great deal of responsibility and creative control for a relatively young executive at the company. Nevertheless, based on Fuentes’ experience, demonstrated talents and his proven results for Captain Marketing clients nationwide, many at the company say his promotion was inevitable, with future successes practically assured.

Fuentes himself is perhaps more modest. He describes getting his first computer at age 4. With few toys and no cable television, the device was his only plaything, and one he soon knew inside and out. Soon he was an expert in DOS and Windows. In high school, he taught himself web design, and became involved in video media production. His efforts in creating an unsanctioned but hugely popular online chat forum/resource center/ poll site for his classmates earned the recognition of outsiders, including the Los Angeles Times, Wired and the New York Post. After graduation, he decided to pursue a career in banking instead of college, rising to Executive Vice President within a year. After the real estate crash, he went back into technology, and quickly found work at Captain Marketing as a project manager.

Today, Captain Marketing does web design for several hundred small and midsize businesses. Whether changing up a lackluster homepage to a total web redesign, the online marketing company promotes its web design work as ROI focused, with more sales and leads for its clients as its primary goal. Fuentes has managed multiple Captain Marketing projects from design to inception with impressive results.

“We love the new website that Danny helped us with,” says Bob H., one recent client. “He really kept us focused on communicating our unique selling proposition through a clean, simple design and great copy. When our shopping cart needed an overhaul, he was there with suggestions right away. Frankly, his new position is no surprise to me,” Bob concludes.

Indeed, a spokesperson at Captain Marketing says Fuentes’ energy, intelligence and enthusiasm are not unusual at the company. Certainly, a visitor to its small corporate campus is immediately struck by the energy that seems to float through the halls, with small groups discussing marketing issues in impromptu sessions in the break room, and SEO analysts rushing from office to office, files in hand.

“We’re a pretty special place,” says CEO Bruce Gordon. “Danny Fuentes represents the real leadership and talent we have accrued here at the company. People like him are real assets, and I can honestly say he’s part of why it’s so fun to come to work in the morning.” He adds, “I recommend any client or prospective client speak with him to get his thoughts and perspective on how they can improve their website. His web development ideas can add immediate value to our customers’ businesses-translating into more sales and more leads right away.”

Fuentes smiles when hearing Gordon’s take on his promotion. “I’m just happy to make it to the show,” he says, in one of the baseball references Fuentes is fond of making. “I look forward to doing great things here for our clients.”
