Follow on Google News | Forget about coupons. A tech start-up on Kickstarter wants to tell user’s where to save moneyBy: Totlly Two friends, Michael Woltcheck and John Rudzinski, are in the process of building software that finds its users the best price for a grocery list of items. Their software uses the most up-to-date prices for products in a user’s area and factors in sale prices, coupons, and other discounts. The company they created is called Totlly, pronounced: total-ly, and is on Kickstarter, a crowd funding site, right now looking to raise $40,000 for start-up costs. The founders only receive the funds if their goal is reached, which has a deadline of November 19th 2014. The founders believe, “the most important price at the store is your bottom line, the total price at checkout” which explains their name and the price they want to help users find. Current price checkers only check the price for one item but with Totlly’s interface, a shopping list, they claim to be able to aggregate items together to find the best total checkout price for its users before the user ever leaves their home. Totlly has a “shop local” initiative and wants to help local retailers bridge the gap between online and real-world commerce by taking in their prices. By giving small local retailers an online presence Totlly believes local retailers will be able to compete more effectively in our fast moving, information driven society. The Kickstarter campaign gives consumers a comprehensive look at what this start-up and application is all about. For more information visit: https://www.kickstarter.com/ End
