WILSON, N.C. - Nov. 4, 2014 - PRLog -- Butterfly is proud to sponsor and announce the upcoming 2015 Butterfly Aurora Cup table tennis tournament. The 2015 Butterfly Aurora Cup is a four-star USATT sanctioned tournament that will be held January 17 & 18 in Aurora, Illinois.

For the second year, the venue for the annual Aurora Cup is the Vaughan Athletic Center Field House located 40 miles from Chicago at 2121 W. Indian Trail in Aurora, IL.  The 33,000 ft. field house facility offers a beautiful blue, non-slippery floor that will feature 38 professional, ITTF approved Butterfly tables with full barrier courts during the tournament.

The 2015 Butterfly Aurora Cup offers $8,000 in prizes and 22 events that include Open Singles, Open Doubles, a recreational event, rated events and age events. Last year’s tournament had over 250 players competing including the top seeds Mingyu Shi, a former member of the Chinese National Team (currently rated 2732), and Diwei Shi (currently rated 2627).
