Follow on Google News | ‘Water: More Valuable than Oil?’ on Adelphi University’s Award-Winning Exploring Critical IssuesProgram Airs in NY and CT on Cablevision 29 and 137 and Verizon FiOS 296 and streams simultaneously at www.telecaretv.org
“Some have said that water is the new “oil” in terms of scarcity,” said Adelphi University President Dr. Robert A. Scott. “I believe that the first step in better water management is awareness. In that regard, our latest program will examine not only how we use water and manage it, but whether efforts across the globe and here in the U.S. have been successful in conserving and desalinating water, and the host of factors that affect the very quality of our water today. I look forward to sharing this information with our viewers.” Joining Dr. Scott to explore this compelling topic are Mr. Richard Amper, Executive Director, the Long Island Pine Barrens Society; Dr. Jessica Dutton, Assistant Professor, Adelphi University; Dr. Sam L Grogg, Dean, College of Arts and Sciences, Adelphi University; and Dr. Robert Weltner, President, Operation Splash. “Water: More Valuable than Oil?” airs in New York and Connecticut on Cablevision 29 (Long Island) and 137 (Connecticut and New York area outside of Long Island) and FiOS 296 (New York and Fairfield, CT).
