The main Fair will be on view at 3rd Street Garage Art space, 300 SW 12th Avenue, Miami with additional presentations at a legendary Little Havana location, Ball & Chain (http://www.ballandchainmiami.com/) Exhibitors interested in installation spaces for December and/or booths and other space in February should contact info@FridgeArtFair.com. Fridge is very open to customizing spaces for exciting proposed presentations. Like it’s sister Fair (December 4 – 9, 2014), this edition is supported by major sponsorship by the Barlington Group and returning media sponsor Arte Fuse. Once again, Founding Director Eric Ginsburg, a noted painter in his own right (mainly for his soulful portraits of dogs), will lead the Fridge team. The Fridge Team looks forward to expanding their presence in the Miami community. “People should not be afraid to go and see art, and it should not cost a fortune,’ said Ginsburg. “I want people to be happy, we want everyone from all walks of life to come to this fair and say, ‘that was really cool!” Cara Hunter Viera of Fridge will produce the Fair and NYC based curator, writer and dealer Linda DiGusta, co-director of Fridge 2014 in New York, stays on the team as curatorial consultant. Fridge Art Fair was born on New York’s Lower East Side in May 2013, making it’s debut – under the tagline “Can you fit into the Fridge?” -- at Kazuko Miyamoto’s small but storied storefront, Gallery OneTwentyEight. The inaugural Miami show was presented at the somewhat more spacious venue, on Calle Ocho. On March 31st 2014, Fridge was displaced from its expanded Lower East Side venue by the Dept. of Buildings closure of the historic and beloved Angel Orensanz Center, but was able to rebound and open as planned on May 8 and present an innovative, successful fair (including large-scale installations, a video lounge curated by Jeanne Wilkinson, and a Ferrari, presented by Dorian Grey Gallery, painted by John “Crash” Matos) and a benefit for A.R.F. with Dorfman Projects at a 7,000 sf waterfront venue in Long Island City thanks to major sponsorship from Plaxall. With a loyal following of presenting galleries, organizations and artists, Fridge is growing while retaining its character as an intimate, accessible and enjoyable event. Barlington Group was founded by Bill Fuller and Martin Pinilla II, in Miami Florida in June 2004, as an urban development company committed to revitalizing neighborhoods within Miami's urban core. Since inception, Barlington Group has acquired, developed, and managed commercial projects with a value exceeding $50 million. Projects have focused on asset repositioning, ranging from multi-family, retail, office, and mixed use buildings. The company currently operates 100 plus multi-family units and more than 400,000 sq ft of retail and office space in 13 retail and mixed-use centers. The company is also invested in retail, entertainment, and hospitality ventures. The core mission of the company is to have fun creating unique places to live, work, and play. http://www.barlingtongroup.com/ Arte Fuse is a contemporary online art magazine featuring news, openings, events, galleries, studio visits and art reviews. Visiting as many shows and artist’s studios as possible, the publication offers readers a curated perspective of the art scene with special focus on New York. The magazine was founded by Jamie Martinez, Publisher and CEO, in 2008. http://artefuse.com/ More about Fridge on the Fair website, FridgeArtFair.com.
