R&b artist Maine wins 2014 "Artist Of The Year" award

In a unanimous decision on Friday, October 31, 2014 Forbes Music Inc. and the 25 companies under its umbrella have decided to grant underground r&b artist Maine the 'Artist Of The Year' and 'UMC Urban Radio Acclaim' honors. Each of these awards are of the highest standards. Receiving these awards prove not only that Maine showed consistency but also that he fulfilled the demand of industry djs.

The 'Artist Of The Year' award is presented to the artist that showed he was capable of providing quality music on a consistend basis that fans would not only listen to but purchase. The 'UMC Urban Radio Acclaim' award is for the artist that received the most praise from radio station program and music directors and also received the most rotation throughout the course of the year.

Maine's mainstream debut single 'I Can't Explain It' sat atop the IBFU Radio Live-XM radio airplay charts for over 5 moths and maintained a top 10 slot through the course of a 9 month stretch; but it was his single 'Henney' that broke him into the mainstream market and received the hightst praise from radio station Dj's and directors across the nation.
