RE/MAX Hot Air Balloon and Crew to Visit 2 Schools in Mercer County Nov. 7 for Educational Program

CHICAGO - Oct. 31, 2014 - PRLog -- The RE/MAX Hot Air Balloon and its crew will make stops at two schools in Mercer County, Ill., on Nov. 7 to present a special educational program about hot air ballooning, including its history and the scientific principles.

The balloon will make a morning appearance at 9:15 a.m. at WinolaElementary School, 1804 17th Ave., Viola, then move on to MathervilleIntermediateSchool, 1376 252nd St., Matherville, for a 1 p.m. presentation.  Both visits are sponsored by Sharon Esslinger of RE/MAX Country Crossroads in Viola.  The two schools have a combined student population of approximately 550.

The presentations will take place outdoors on the school grounds at both locations so the balloon envelope can be inflated with hot air to its full 75-foot height, weather permitting.  If the program needs to be moved indoors due to inclement weather, the envelope will be partially inflated with cold air so that students can walk inside it as part of the educational experience.

On hand to enhance the occasion will be a “cold air” version of the RE/MAX Soaring Home Balloon, a house-like inflatable that has become a crowd favorite since being introduced a few years ago.
