Follow on Google News | The Chicago Bach Ensemble Cycle Five under Rubén DubrovskyCycle Five represents a break into historical period performance with the use of authentic baroque instruments and baroque tuning at 415Hz. These performances will feature a chamber orchestra and eight singers in some of Bach’s wonderful string cantatas. Additionally, the Ensemble orchestra will perform two Concerti Grossi by G.F. Handel. The Ensemble welcomes the internationally renowned Italian-Argentinian conductor Ruben Dubrovsky, who is in much demand in the concert houses and operas of Europe. Under the leadership of Maestro Dubrovsky, the Chicago Bach Ensemble intends to not only confirm its place as an anchor group within the Chicago area but also to build itself into a baroque ensemble of highest quality. These upcoming concerts promise a wonderful baroque music experience for Chicago listeners.
