The Beat Celebrates Thanksgiving with Special Menu and Live Music

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. - Oct. 31, 2014 - PRLog -- WHAT:          Don’t go through the trouble of picking up all the Thanksgiving fixings this year. Instead join The Beat from 11:00AM to 10:00PM on November 27th, 2014 for a special Thanksgiving menu featuring traditional Thanksgiving foods and live country, Americana and bluegrass music all day long.
Chef Ignacio Lopez has created a one-of-a-kind, à la cartemenu that puts a new spin on the traditional Thanksgiving feast. For starters, the menu features a Black Bean Pumpkin Soup with Ham and Toasted Pumpkin Seeds ($10), as well as a Baked Crab Cake with Lemon Aioli ($15). Thanksgiving is often a tricky holiday for accommodating vegetarians, however Chef Lopez has crafted vegetarian options including the Vegetarian Thanksgiving which contains Roasted Vegetables Delux, Mushroom & Leek Stuffing, Parsnip Mashed Potatoes, Fresh Cranberry Sauce, and Herbed Gravy ($27). While there are traditional offerings, guests may choose to skip the turkey and opt for the Grass Fed Rack of Lamb with Roasted Autumn Vegetables, Green Beans, and Mustard Jus ($42). There is also a special menu for the “Little Pilgrims” in attendance, ages 10 and under.
To accompany the wide-variety of food items, guests can choose from over 32 wines on tap, all available in 2.5 oz, 5oz, or 12oz pours. Mix, match and try one a different wine with each course! For something stronger, celebrate the all-American holiday with The Beat’s cocktails such as the American Breed made with Maker's Mark, St. elder elderflower liqueur and apple cider ($11), Granny Takes a Trip, old overholt rye, bitterman's amere nouvelle, vya sweet vermouth ($10.50).
Throughout the day The Beat will have live bluegrass, country and Americana customers to enjoy while they eat their Thanksgiving meals.
