Ocean at War Declared. Players Take Control as new game proclaims war

GUILDFORD, U.K. - Oct. 31, 2014 - PRLog -- WHAT IS OCEAN AT WAR?

Ocean at War: Genesis is a revolutionary new Naval Warfare MMORTS game, set 135 years in the future where the Earth has been flooded and has entered a catastrophic new Ice Age.  The action takes place on a vast Ocean dotted with Ice Bases.

Build a base, design and launch powerful fleets to combat the oppressive Federation!  Battle with other players and NPC fleets in real time, using simple controls!  Form strong alliances with other players to dominate Zones and achieve strategic rewards!  The post-apocalyptic, frozen water-covered world setting not only permeates throughout the art, but encompasses a lot of the diverse gameplay.

Use fleets to scavenge for Ore or old technology from sunken buildings. Battle with Federation fleets using 21st century ships to survive on the high seas.  Find ways to expand your influence and explore many more exciting gameplay features to take full advantage of this unique setting.

Ocean at War has a massive amount of strategic depth compared to other MMORTS games. Players will have a wide assortment of choices about what to build, how to build, and what to focus their efforts on in order to create the best strategic elements possible

Powered by Unity3d Game Engine, Ocean at War will be FREE to play in January 2015 (option of in-game purchases).  Alpha and Beta stage access now available via the crowdfunding pledge system.

WHO'S DEVELOPING THE GAME?

Ocean at War: Genesis
is the first of a series being developed by Konka Studios Inc.  Headed by CEO Steve Wishart, Creative Director Troy Dunniway (20+ years of experience developing titles such as the "Command & Conquer" series and "Age of Empires") and Development Director John Say (15+ years’ experience with making award winning games for the likes of EA, Disney and Viacom).  We also have developers who have worked on major titles with companies like Rockstar, Marvel and Universal.  Over 30 people worldwide are directly involved with the making of the game.

staff are avid RTS gamers.  We wanted to play a game that put the needs and desires of players first, so decided to make our own.  Starting with our basic concepts we have drawn on the collective games experiences of our nearly 16K player support base to shape the game’s direction.  The focus is on making an easy to play, stimulating and social strategy game that is both exciting and fun to play.  We believe that those goals have been achieved.

Players
are tired of being ignored by games developers and Ocean at War: Genesis is set to change that. Largely crowdfunded, Konka already has a reputation of listening to its supporters.  It’s a case of giving players what they have wanted rather than what they are dished up.  We’ve taken on board their ideas with ships that never become obsolete and that can be quickly fitted out with a range of weapons and components.  Gone are the days of lengthy builds and repair bills.  Konka wants its players out where they belong - fighting with their friends and enemies - on an Ocean at War.
