Halloween is becoming a hugely celebrated festival where children trick-or-treat, costume parties and events are held with more and more carved pumpkins appearing in shopping centres to celebrate.. Sydney Zombies met at the Australasian College Broadway’s amazing facility at Glebe at 4am to commence this major makeover with the College’s talented hair and make-up students and educators dedicating their time to transforming our 75 people into Zombies using special effects make-up. The process to create a Zombie using special effects make-up incorporates using varied materials such as gelatine for a newly dead look, dried latex and dried tissues for an older mummified look. The outstandingly transformed Zombies then descended into Central Station Sydney and Martin Place to scare by standing commuters on their way to work. Plie, Groove ‘N’ Shuffle, DanceKool and EttingshausensFull Time dance groups helped to support our event and busted a move to the famous Michael Jackson Thriller themed song to entertain Sydney with a Zombie Flash Mob in Martin Place and Central Station. Photos and videos were taken by students and commuters to upload to all social media websites to gain awareness of our Zombie take over. The Australasian College Broadway is a highly recognised educational facility offering students an inspiring approach to education. The College employs award winning educators who use their skills and knowledge to help you in your journey to becoming a qualified make-up artist, hairdresser or beauty therapist.
