Scorpio Media "Acqui-Hires" OnlineMediaBroker.com and Jeffrey Williams

TORONTO - Oct. 30, 2014 - PRLog -- [Toronto, Canada] —October 26th— Scorpio Media announced today that it has acquired the investigative and entertainment web series OnlineMediaBroker.com, which produces podcasts, live interviews, “how to” marketing, and investigative industry videos. As part of the acquisition, OnlineMediaBroker.com founder Jeffrey Williams will be joining Scorpio Media. Scorpio is acquiring OnlineMediaBroker.com as a result of hiring Mr. Williams for internal support services as it’s Partner Experience Coordinator.

“We believe that a truly transparent, streamlined and mutually beneficial engagement between advertisers and publishers is not only possible, but that it’s just around the corner, and we intend to be a major player in bringing that into reality.”, says James Wallace, CEO of Scorpio Media, “Jeff Williams of OnlineMediaBroker.com has stood up and called out the industry on it’s current slow, opaque and boy’s club approach to digital advertising, and we have applauded his courage and determination in that effort.  We believe that providing Jeff industry connections and visibility into digital advertising mechanics, will allow him to move beyond just investigative efforts and into participating in real-world solutions to the problems plaguing our industry.”

Transparency, privacy and speed have always been fundamental to Scorpio Media’s daily business practices and it’s IT roadmap.  Scorpio Media has built a fully abstract and extensible programmatic platform for buying and selling digital media.  It’s intention was to create the world’s first truly frictionless digital advertising marketplace.  Having done so, it’s primary focus now is building the community that will help propel this platform forward.  Scorpio Media believes that Jeff Williams is the person that can connect the industry with it’s broader vision, and grow that community through that joint passion to bring about a new era in digital advertising.

“I’ve connected with many different networks and have had the opportunity and pleasure to talk with founders about what makes their network the best place for publishers,” said Jeffrey Williams.  “Unfortunately, very few owners have strong ethical views and values that defend and support hard working - and most of all, honest publishers - and even less are willing to be radical enough with innovation and dare to dream that a 100% transparent and honest future can be obtained.  I heard amazing things about James; about how he mentored his publishers, and paid them out of his pocket simply out of a pure ethical commitment.  I knew I wanted to work with someone like that.  So, it was an easy decision and natural evolution for OMB to join the Scorpio Media family.”

Within the first three months, OnlineMediaBroker.com became a niche outlet for marketers to connect and find a voice willing to talk about what is truly wrong with the Internet Marketing industry and suggest solutions for change.  Marketing superstars and Ad Network founders including Rohit Ajmani, Michael D. Rich, Greg Willson, and many others have appeared on the web series.  OnlineMediaBroker.com assimilated the culture of internet marketing, growing a core audience, and quickly became part of niche online communities.

With the “acqui-hire” of Jeffrey Williams, the “pub defender” will be serving an exponentially larger publisher base through the Scorpio Media Network, and it’s other brands and products.

OnlineMediaBroker.com is a weekly content distributor, focused on providing relevant, entertaining, and educational content through a unique blend of media formats. OnlineMediaBroker.com will continue to release content for it’s subscribers as it ramps up new experience based services for publishers and patterns within the Scorpio Media Network.
