WASHINGTON - Oct. 30, 2014 - PRLog -- Washington DC October 30, 2014 - Implicit Solution has released the beta version of the website, changebias.com, which claims that bias can be reduced through video game technology. The program, described as an alternative to traditional diversity training, uses photos, videos and games to “hack” the unconscious.  “This is a method that has never been used before, but it is founded on solid research”, says Bridgette Davis, founder and CEO.

Implicit Solution differs from traditional diversity and inclusion training in that the medium is interactive exercises and video games in place of lectures and text-based information. “I think I’m going to be able to offer something that is not only more engaging, but more effective.” says Davis.  A number of people have argued traditional diversity and inclusion training is not only ineffective (http://blogs.hbr.org/2012/03/diversity-training-doesnt-work/), but often counterproductive.

The addition of games is unique to Implicit Solution. While a recent study showed playing video games can actually make you more biased (http://www.thedailybeast.com/articles/2014/03/21/can-a-vi...), Ms. Davis argues her games will reduce bias.  “That study offered the participant an avatar that was based on racial stereotypes which was used to engage in violent and criminal acts.  It’s not surprising this activity resulted in increased bias. My game gives the user the opportunity to associate the character with positive attributes.”

Implicit Solution’s beta version is currently being offered free of charge. The company plans to test this product and seek investment to build a larger version.  “I will have a lot more games and exercises so people can visit again and again to practice and improve their bias scores.  I want people to know that harmful bias is not something you have to live with, a bias free lifestyle is achievable.”

Bridgette Davis is founder and CEO of Implicit Solution, a Delaware corporation located in the Washington DC metro area.  The company was founded in April 2014 and has one corporate officer, Ms. Davis. The beta version of the changebias.com, fully funded by Ms. Davis, is a market test to determine business and consumer interest and to discover potential technical issues.
