2nd Annual Open House Successfully Held at WARDJet

TALLMADGE, Ohio - Oct. 30, 2014 - PRLog -- With more than eighty attendees at the 2014 Open House, WARDJet team members had many opportunities to talk one-on-one with visitors, give tours of the facility, and perform waterjet cutting demonstrations.

The most talked about Open House feature was the brand new WARDKit line of waterjets which was debuted during the event. Offered in 2’ x 2’, 5’ x 5’, and 5’ x 10’ sizes, the WARDKit provides a high-quality waterjet solution for customers in kit form. WARDKit owners receive the same quality, durability, and design of a WARDJet Emerald Series waterjet for as low as $65,000, with financing options as low as $67 per business day.

Open House guests were able to see the WARDKit components first-hand, including the tank, ball screws, laptop controller, and Z-Carriage. An added bonus was the set of augmented reality glasses that instructed wearers how to assemble the Z-Carriage components step-by-step using both projected text and images. Visitors at the WARDKit booth were impressed with how WARDJet incorporated cutting edge technology into their product, and many of them tried on the glasses to experience assembly firsthand.

Overall, Open House guests were most blown away that WARDJet was offering a high-quality waterjet identical to the versatile Emerald Series at a 40% price reduction. The first handful of WARDKit orders were placed during Open House hours and WARDJet looks forward to shipping them at the end of this year.

During the afternoon, guests enjoyed lunch provided by vendor Yaskawa Motoman. The lunch break provided Open House guests a valuable networking opportunity where they could informally mingle with vendors and other businesses in attendance. Representatives from WARDJet-choice vendors - like Yaskawa Motoman (robots) and Hypertherm (pumps) - were also available to discuss their products.

Other Open House highlights were the demonstrations performed throughout the day on the Multipurpose Abrasive Waterjet Robot and the Z-2543-5, where a variety of materials were cut with water only to demonstrate 5-axis capability. Tours of the production floor reflected lean manufacturing changes implemented by WARDJet’s COO who joined the team just after the 2013 Open House last fall. By walking through welding, fabrication, assembly and shipping areas, guests were able to see how WARDJet manufactures all products in America from start to finish.

At the conclusion of the 2014 Open House, WARDJet hosted nearly 150 friends, family, and employees for a celebration to congratulate the company on another successful event. Employees gave their friends and family tours of their work areas and then enjoyed a feast of pizza, salad, sides, and dessert.

As a result of the 2014 Open House, WARDJet has a number of sales pending and dozens of serious customers that anticipate making a purchase in the upcoming months.
