There will also be a Sunstar Ambulance attending as well as one of the All Children’s Hospital Pediatric Intensive Care Transport Units. Trophies will be awarded to the top fundraising teams. Hydrocephalus is an abnormal accumulation of spinal fluid in the brain, which is a lifelong condition affecting over one million Americans from newborns to adults. Presently there is no cure. About 40,000 shunt operations are performed each year in the United States as standard treatment for this condition. Due to the lack of advancement in treatment methods, many people with hydrocephalus are unable to lead full and productive lives and many have multiple shunt revisions. Cerebral Palsy and Epilepsy are neurological conditions that are often present with Hydrocephalus. End
