No Risk Automation Magazine Explored Automation Differences on Plant Floor and Distribution Center

Oct. 31, 2014 - PRLog -- The October issue of No Risk Automation, a monthly e-news publication, explored the differences between automation at the distribution center (DC) versus manufacturing plant floor. Automation in manufacturing is accelerating, due to the sheer number of movements of product and the ease with which transportation can occur.  Generally most product in manufacturing is transported on pallets or in bins.

This month’s newsletter also discussed common mistakes made in automation, including: not concentrating on the little things, believing that the technology or the guidance is important, failing to prepare a written specification of what is wanted and needed at the distribution center or manufacturing plant floor.
