Australian Twins release Debut EP to iTunes USA

NASHVILLE, Tenn. - Oct. 29, 2014 - PRLog -- Gabriel and Michael Saalfield are better known to their followers as The Royce Twins.

These twins ended up in foster care at age 8. They recognise the effect that music has had on their lives, particularly at that time. During their school years, the twins played at most school events and music in their own words ‘kept them strong’. Sadly, they lost both parents at a young age. Royce was their mother’s middle name – hence The Royce Twins.

The Twins have been performing and singing together for as long as both can remember. Gabriel plays the drums, acoustic guitar and saxophone. Michael plays acoustic and electric guitars and likes to dabble on the keyboard. Both sing. Both song write.

Making it to University, the Twins began live performances at hotels and clubs. In 2013, the Twins entered a television singing competition (X Factor Australia) and performed a cover of I won’t give up that has now had over 4.9 million YouTube views.

“The YouTube reaction has been amazing. We’ve got a lot of our followers from the United States” said Gabriel. “We’d love to come and perform live their one day and meet the people who have sent us messages of support. It really means a lot to us.”

Their self-titled Debut EP - The Royce Twins - Debut EP, delivers five slices of their unique harmonies and sound, showcasing four brand new songs written and performed by the Twins: “Heartstrings”, “Brave”, “Fly” and “Suzie Royce”.

The additional EP track is a studio recorded version of “I won’t give up” by fan request. “It’s a special song to us,” said Gabriel. “We’ve been through our fair of challenges in life but if you keep going you can achieve almost anything. This EP is just like that. I hope people who have had our start to life see that and are brave enough to follow their own dreams.”

“We’re really happy we’ve had the opportunity to record our original music,” said Michael. “If people like what they’ve heard so far, we hope they’re going to really like the new originals and the harmonies on the EP."

“This is a milestone for us for sure, the EP provides us with the opportunity to have our original music to be heard and set up recording a full album down the track,” said Gabriel.

The original music is set to inspire and delight. In addition to singing together on all tracks, The Royce Twins show case their musical talents, playing acoustic and electric guitars, drums and percussion. Some tracks also feature classical instruments, cello and piano coupled with epic Royce harmonies.

The Royce Twins sing about the universal themes of love and courage. Lyrically interesting and meaningful, all tracks are easy to listen to and will have listeners singing along in no time. All tracks feature what are set to become trademark Royce harmonies.
