Titled “Inter-System Communication”
, this patent outlines a methodology for coupling a wireless telecommunication network and a data network using a gateway such that a user can access equivalent levels of service in both networks. More specifically, inter-system communication, as described in this patent, refers to the ability to pass messages, to establish two-way voice communication, or to share contact and presence information between users on disparate networks and/or voice systems.
