Joe Armstrong, formerly chief financial officer of Intelligent Decisions Inc., has been named president.

Armstrong succeeds Harry Martin, who has led Intelligent Decisions since 1988.

Armstrong most recently oversaw the technology contractor’s effort to align its fiscal duties with its strategic objectives.

He previously served as vice president and treasurer of Multi-Finance Holding Corp.

Aamir Hussain, a former chief technology officer and managing director at Liberty Global, has joined CenturyLink as executive vice president and CTO.

He will lead work to automate many of CenturyLink’s products, focus on customer experiences and help manage company platforms and technologies.

Hussain was based in the Netherlands in his role as managing director and CTO for Europe at Liberty Global and he is also a former senior VP and CTO for Covad Communications.

His executive career also includes technology design and leadership roles at Telus, Qwest, Samsung and Motorola.
