Republican officials in more than 20 states have begun canceling voting rights of 3 million citizens, mostly minorities, accused of voting in two states.

Reporter Greg Palast, who led a team of researchers in year-long investigation for Al Jazeera America, has obtained the first-ever copies of the lists of targeted voters – voters subject to “scrub” from voter rolls.

The list is heavily over-weighted with Asian-American, African-American and Hispanic voters.

The voter purge could affect tight Senate races in Georgia and North Carolina—and the 2016 Presidential race.  Tens of thousands have already lost their right to vote without any proof they have committed this felony crime.

The top-ranking Democrat in Georgia, Rep Stacey Abrams, House Minority Leader, is livid that she and other officials were kept in the dark about Republican Secretary of State’s purge operations.

Greg Palast was the reporter who, for BBC-TV and The Guardian, broke the story in 2000 of Katherine Harris’ wrongful purge of innocent Black voters as “felons.”
