Follow on Google News | Pete Rock and Black Milk to Headline Cola-Con’s Dance Party and Art Show in Columbia, SCBy: Cola-Con Pete Rock and Black Milk to Headline Cola-Con’s Dance Party and Art Show Columbia, SC, October 28, 2014—Mo' Betta Soul and Cola-Con present the Cola-Con Dance Party and Art Show with Pete Rock and Black Milk on Thursday, October 30, 2014, from 8 p.m. until midnight. This creative fundraising event and silent auction for Cola-Con 2015 will take place at 701 Whaley in Columbia, SC. Hosted by emcee and journalist Preach Jacobs, the event will feature live production from the legendary Pete Rock, Detroit’s own Black Milk, and Dose (with Analog). Atlanta's finest DJ Rasta Root (Phife of A Tribe Called Quest) from Smokin Shells will grace the turntables. Live paintings will take place at the event, as well as a silent auction of selected artwork. Advance tickets for the event are $25 and subject to increase. Founder and organizer Preach Jacobs is an award-winning musician, DJ, writer, photographer and founder of Columbia-based record label Sounds Familiar Records.
