Leisure Suite have developed a unique sultry and soulful take on electronic-pop sounds. Leisure Suite are influenced by elements of downtempo and chillwave encouraging comparisons to the likes of The XX, Alpine and Snakadaktal. Think velvet-smooth vocals, swathed in lush synth and spurred by an infectious rhythm-section. The synth-swathed sounds of Leisure Suite have found their way onto the band’s first ever-physical release, following the introduction of the EP’s two opening tracks. ‘Great Expectations’ The EP itself is brimming with reverb-glazed guitar, undulating synth chords and velvet-smooth vocals, panning from downtempo to dance-worthy with characteristic grace. The EP is an example of the band’s dedication to their craft, with the finishing touches left appropriately to the mastering prowess of Andrei Eremin of Chet Faker, Rat & Co fame. Leisure Suite‘s otherwise self-produced EP marks another milestone in their foray onto a bustling Melbourne music scene. The band has signed with Melbourne-based independent record label, Deaf Ambitions and is already getting rave reviews.
