New Authors Can Earn Royalties In Two Days

A small publishing company called Beeline Publishing helps new authors turn their manuscripts into royalties almost overnight. And they can do it for next to nothing.

JUPITER, Fla. - Oct. 27, 2014 - PRLog -- When author Rick Bennette wanted to publish Aliens in Paradise, his first book, it was a challenge. Trying to find a publisher the old fashioned way meant buying a marketing manual, looking up names and addresses of New York literary agents, sending out query letters via snail mail and praying someone would answer. After nearly 200 letters with only one response of 'no thanks', Rick understandably became discouraged. Shortly thereafter, however, he was overwhelmed with offers directly from publishing companies.

"Great," said Rick at first. Trouble is, all those offers turned out to be from companies known in the book business as vanity publishers. Each of them wanted thousands of dollars up front in exchange for 'publishing' Rick's book.

"When I did my homework," says Rick, "I discovered these publishing houses were nothing more than glorified print shops whose marketing consisted of nothing more than a tiny blurb in the back of a local paper along with hundreds of copies of my book in a warehouse." He also learned that no one should have to pay up front to have their book published. These costs should be covered by book sales. Formatting the book before sale, of course, is something where payment is justified up front.

Rick soon discovered online publishing. Here he can control the distribution and marketing of his book on his own without paying for copies of his book up front. Books are printed on demand as they are sold, and online copies are sold as well. For each book sale, Rick is paid a small royalty. Each month the tallied royalties are paid out. "The best thing about it," says Rick, "is these royalties will continue long after I'm gone. It's like a permanent retirement plan."

"The process to set everything up was duanting at first", Rick reports. "But in a few days I had everything figured out. What surprises me is how difficult this process is for other authors with less technical ability than myself."

It was at that time Rick got the idea to start his publishing company. "I wanted to create a means of helping other authors that didn't cost an arm and a leg," Rick says. "New authors often have little up front money, so I needed a means of providing technical and formatting assistance starting at a hundred dollars." And so began Beeline Publishing.

Rick has created a unique niche in the rapidly transistioning world of book publishing. His small company operates on a one-on-one relationship with his author clients, providing each of them with only those services they actually need. There are no commissioned sales people, and so no hard push for sales. Authors deal directly with an owner.

Rick realizes not all authors need the same services. Some authors are quite accomplished in prepping their books for print and simply need a little assistance in the final stages of formatting. Others are writers, writers, writers and would like to do nothing more than write. For these authors, Rick provides every service they need to get their books to market. And of course, he provides service to all those clients with needs in between the extremes. In addition, he teaches authors how to perform these services themselves, again, in a one-on-one environment.

The training and formatting services can be provided locally at Beeline's offices or remotely from around the world. Rick answers the phone personally during most business hours, and returns after hours messages the next business day.
