GZA GeoEnvironmental, Inc. promotes Terese Kwiatkowsi to Senior Principal

NORWOOD, Mass. - Oct. 27, 2014 - PRLog -- GZA GeoEnvironmental, Inc., a leading environmental and geotechnical consulting firm, announces that Terese Kwiatkowskiof Norwood, Massachusetts has been promoted to Senior Principal.

Kwiatkowski, with GZA for 29 years, holds a B.S. in civil engineering from Worcester Polytechnic Institute and an M.S. in civil engineering from Virginia Tech.  She currently sits on GZA’s Board of Directors.

Kwiatkowski is a geotechnical engineer specializing in large transportation infrastructure projects; building development projects for colleges/universities, medical institutions and commercial, retail and residential developments; and energy transmission projects.

She is active in numerous local and national engineering societies and served as the president of the Boston Society of Civil Engineers (BSCES) and chair of the Geotechnical Institute Committee.  Prior to becoming president, Kwiatkowski has held various positions on the BSCES Board of Government including Secretary, Vice President and Senior Vice President.  Following her tenure on the BSCES Board of Government she served on and held various positions on The Engineering Center/The Engineering Center Education Trust Board of Directors, including Secretary and Vice Chair.

She is currently a member of BSCES, American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE), American Council of Engineering Companies/MA, Deep Foundations Institute and the Underground Construction Association of the Society of Mining, Metallurgy & Explorations.  Kwiatkowski also serves as an Advisory Board member for the Civil and Environmental Engineering Department at Worcester Polytechnic Institute.

Kwiatkowski has co-authored or authored articles for several industry publications and has presented at universities and GZA internal conferences.
