Follow on Google News | Fright Night at the Museum II raised funds for exhibitions and programsOver 130 costumed attendees arrived as angels, devils, and everything in between. MAM’s Leir Hall was transformed into a frightening forest to set the stage for the fabulous event. Delicious potions of hard cider and gin donated by Warwick Valley Winery & Distillery and tantalizing bites provided by Laurence Craig Catering were enjoyed by all. A clairvoyant, Paula Roberts, told the future of each guest and an eerie photo booth had visitors playing into their characters. Dancers from Montclair High School’s School of Visual and Performing Arts (SVPA), led by Mary Blackburn, enticed guests to the dance floor with the Time Warp, followed by a Halloween flash mob. A silent auction featured highlights from Jets tickets to jewelry, including donations from Amanti Vino, Bergen Furs, and the HL Group. The Fright Night at the Museum II co-chairs Meredith & Marshall Bergmann, Deborah Davis & Mark Urman, Cleo Davis-Urman, Sharon & Christopher Sevrens, and Susie Sonneborn & Tom Blim brought the event together with the support of the event committee: Michael Aiduss & Joe Gandarillas, Lisa & Joe Amato, Linny & Rick Andlinger, Peter Arnold & Tim Braun, Francesca Castagnoli, Charcy Evers & Kevin Saleeby, Leslie & John Ford, Fannie & Timothy Gray, Joyce & Osman Kurtulus, Wendy & Andrew Lacey, Joanne & Fred Langbein, Ann & Dan McCarthy, Erin & Craig Schwitter, Tesie Torres, Margo & Frank Walter, and Katie Williams. Proceeds from Fright Night at the Museum II support the Museum's exhibitions and educational programs. Over $47,000 was raised, including in support of the MAM Art Truck, a roving mobile studio fashioned in a retrofitted ice cream truck. The funds from last year’s Fright Night at the Museum contributed to the purchase and launch of the truck in Summer 2014 and the funds this year will keep it trucking through another exciting and impactful season.
