Tytho Instrumental in go-live of Global Next

Global SAP Program uses new ONESOURCE Indirect Tax Integration for SAP

ROTTERDAM, Netherlands - Oct. 27, 2014 - PRLog -- Rotterdam, the Netherlands, 27 October, 2014

Tax Automation firm Tytho B.V. played a major role in the recent go-live of Thomson Reuters ONESOURCE “Global Next Integration for SAP”, marking one of the earliest real-world implementations of this new and groundbreaking integration.

What’s more; it is for a division of one of the world’s largest companies, and part of a huge project that aims to bring the multinational’s 8 divisions and 2000 business entities onto a more streamlined ERP system, with one tax decision engine for the entire company: ONESOURCE and Global Next. Tytho tax automation consultant Todd Wells said of working with Global next; “it is a game changer. The configurable logging methodology, for instance, slashes error resolution time, and the drastically reduced need for ABAP programmers reduces the IT burden for the client and reduces the configuration time.”

Meghanath Gali, a Tytho technical consultant who played a major role in the configuration of Global Next for this project, says; “the new table-driven flexible field and address mapping, as well as the placement of all configurations within SAP, meant that I, as a system designer, could do 80% of the work myself, rather than submitting a ticket and waiting for an ABAP or BASIS programmer to do the work for me. That makes a significant difference in timing and costs.“

Tytho, on the heels of this successful go live, will present at Synergy 2014, Thomson Reuters annual users conference, sharing what they now know about Global Next, including a case study presented by GE’s SAP Practice Lead Veronica Lopez.   The case study will reveal the methodology driving the major project that Tytho is so deeply involved in, and will be followed by a panel discussion further examining Global Next.

Their Presentation; “GE’s Next Upgrade: Why Integrate with Global Next?” is session I122 of the Indirect Tax Track at Synergy 2014 in Washington D.C. 8:30-9:20 am on Novemer 4th, 2014, at the Gaylord National Resort and Convention Center.   https://cs.thomsonreuters.com/SYNERGY/
