McGladrey Congratulates Robert Streb, Winner of the 2014 McGladrey Classic

CHICAGO - Oct. 26, 2014 - PRLog -- McGladrey LLP, the nation's leading provider of assurance, tax and consulting services focused on the middle market, and title sponsor ofThe McGladrey Classic, congratulates PGA TOUR Professional Robert Streb, winner of the2014 McGladrey Classic.

Streb won a three-man playoff over Brendon de Jonge and Will MacKenzie. MacKenzie was eliminated on the first extra hole with a bogey from the bunker. On the par-3 17^th in the playoff, Streb’s shot covered the flag and settled four feet below the hole. De Jonge missed a 35-foot birdie.

The 2014 McGladrey Classic is the first PGA TOUR victory for 27-year-old Streb, a Kansas State University graduate and New Smyrna, Florida resident. His score of 63 in the final round of the 2014 McGladrey Classic is his lowest career round. Streb (http://www.pgatour.com/players/player.34431.html) won the Mylan Classic, a Web.com TOUR event in 2012. He won his first professional event, the Oklahoma Open in 2009. Streb had 12 career top-five finishes during his college career at Kansas State.

The 2014 McGladrey Classic included a concert by country music artist Darius Rucker, which attracted thousands of fans, and a golf clinic for children, hosted by Southeast Georgia Health System. Other highlights included Youth Day; a putting contest with McGladrey leaders, PGA TOUR professionals and participants from Special Olympics and Boys and Girls Clubs of Southeast Georgia; and Military Appreciation Day. Proceeds from this year's McGladrey Classic will benefit Special Olympics, the Boys and Girls Club of Southeast Georgia and other local charitable organizations.
