Taste of the Bay 18th Annual SFSU Hospitality & Tourism Department Fundraiser Nov. 12 @ The Metreon

SAN FRANCISCO - Oct. 25, 2014 - PRLog -- Renowned Chefs and Wineries partner with San Francisco State University’s Hospitality and Tourism Management Program, College of Business, for the 18th Annual Fundraiser.

The Hospitality and Tourism Management Program at San Francisco State University and its students are pleased to announce their 18th Annual Fundraiser “Taste of the Bay.”The event will be held at City View at the Metreon on Wednesday, November 12, 2014 from 6:30p.m. –9:30p.m. The Hospitality & Tourism Management students are planning and implementing the event to raise funds for program needs, student scholarships, and professional development opportunities.

Taste of the Bay 2014 will feature chefs from renowned Bay Area restaurants, some of which are Hillside Supperclub, Luce, Hog Island Oyster Co, Koi Palace, M.Y. China, Scala’s Bistro, Galaxy Desserts, The Mortimer, Bin 38, CaféClaude, Sears Finefood, Trace, and CaféPescatore. In addition to the fine cuisine, guests also have the opportunity to sample a selection of local California grown wines and beverage companies including but not limited to Peju Winery, Carneros Brewing Company, Winery SF, Domenico Winery, Lagunitas Brewing, Hawk and Horse Vineyard, Guathier Select Vineyards, Bouchaine Vineyards, Bink Wines, Drakes Brewing Company, 21st Amendment, Caravel Wines, Bluxome Street Winerym, Rosenblum Cellars, Spirit Works Distillery, Rock Wall Wine Company, Spicy Vines and Peerless Coffee. About the Hospitality & Tourism Management Department at San Francisco State University

The Hospitality & Tourism Management Department at San Francisco State University has over 500 students enrolled in the rapidly expanding Hospitality and Tourism Management Program. Students participate in rigorous academic coursework, learn directly from professionals in the industry, and frequently start their careers with Bay Area hospitality industry employers. The Bachelor of Science Degree in Hospitality Management prepares students for management of food service, lodging, recreation and/or resort business, and is the largest four-year hospitality management degree program in the Bay Area.

The Department of Hospitality and Tourism Management is located within the College of Business, which is accredited by AACSB.
