Follow on Google News | Rafiq Ahmed thanks friends and facebook community for massive love on birthdayRafiq celebrates yet another birthday with help of special celebrity guests and massive outpouring of love across all channels.
By: Rafiq Ahmed "When I woke up Wednesday morning, I did not expect to have any fun" says Ahmed, making his first public comments on the matter during a bout of migraine Thursday afternoon. "But the outpouring of massive love by friends, cousins and even those who really don't like me helped make an otherwise dull day memorable." The birthday kicked off with a 7am meeting of the Pixelpanthers global studio, which on this day was filled with warm wishes. That was followed by a morning of various work related stress, lunch in the suburb of Hinsdale and an afternoon of increasing panic related to deadlines. Ahmed finally hung up the "Out at a Party" sign at 6pm despite incoming emails requesting him to "please deliver". Dinner was a lovely affair at Vie, whose Chef Paul Virant is the only other known graduate of Ahmed's alma mater, WV Wesleyan, in this state. Among guests at the small affair was celebrity TasisMom (www.england.tasis.com) Ahmed would like to thank his many facebook friends for their Happy Birthdays. Those who texted him or took the effort to use other applications such as SMS, Viper, Skype, gmail and even the telephone will receive a special mention during the "Krishnachura, Poetry of Color" fundraiser Ahmed and spouse Naila are hosting on Nov 15 to benefit children's education and rights in Bangladesh. He concludes, "I don't know where we would be as a society if facebook didn't tell us about each other's birthdays. This year I counted more Happy Birthdays than in 2013, clocking in at a healthy 17% of all my friends worldwide. I'm really surpised. I'm looking forward to all of your birthdays and my own in 2015."
