Follow on Google News | Jacksonville Video Production Launches Kickstarter Campaign for “ManCave Munchies” CookbookManCave Munchies showcases recipes that are delicious, yet easy to prepare. The YouTube cooking show wants to launch a cookbook of appetizers, main courses, and desserts, along with another series of how-to videos. Some recipes even feature beer.
By: workingthewebtowin.com “ManCave Munchies” was originally created by Carl Weiss two years ago. On his dedicated YouTube channel, “ManCave Munchies,” he shows guys (and any interested ladies), how to cook a wide variety of inventive appetizers, soups, breads, main courses and desserts. “To make meal preparation so easy that even a ‘ManCave man’ can do it, we’re going to spiral bind the cookbook,” Weiss explains. “This way, all you have to do is open the book, select a recipe, and then use a tablet or smartphone to activate the recipe’s QR code, which takes you to the step-by-step video. Now you’re ready to get your ‘ManCave’ on.” Presently, 32 of the recipes in the book already have corresponding videos. Every month Weiss will create an additional five videos that will be available on the site and sent to subscribers via email until all the recipes in the book, nearly 70 of them, have videos. His original premise was simple: showcase recipes that are delicious, yet easy to prepare, while using ingredients that can be bought at anyone’s local supermarket, and make them with commonplace kitchenware that every guy already has. “Since this is a cooking show geared towards guys, many of the recipes feature beer as one of its ingredients,” “The reason we launched the KickStarter campaign is because of the popularity of our first 32 episodes of ‘ManCave Munchies’ on YouTube,” Weiss explains. Some of the recipes have been viewed by thousands of viewers. “Because of its popularity, many people requested we create a cookbook. So the goal of the just-launched KickStarter campaign is to be able print the cookbook in time for the holidays. If we’re able to raise enough funds, we’ll continue with the production of our video series, too.” Also available will be “ManCave” T-shirts, recipe cards and more. For different levels of donations, ranging from $1 to $250, KickStarter contributors will receive a corresponding “Thank You” gift. For example, if someone donates $25, they’ll receive a copy of the “ManCave Munchies” cookbook. At the $30 level, they’ll receive the imaginative T-shirt with the show’s slogan, “Man. Fire. Good!” For $ 50, participants will receive both the cookbook and the T-shirt. Those pledging $100 will have a recipe named after them and will receive an autographed copy of the cookbook. (All rewards include shipping and handling in the continental US.) For $250, a participant can be a guest on the show. ManCave Munchies’ KickStarter campaign runs from October 22nd until November 21st.
