WESTLAKE VILLAGE, Calif. - Oct. 22, 2014 - PRLog -- The first Home Innovation-Design & Wine Tasting Event, featuring new and innovative products and services for inside and outside the home, will be held Sunday, November 2 at the Hyatt Westlake Plaza (880 S Westlake Blvd, Westlake Village).

Manufacturers and contractors will discuss and display their latest high-end equipment, designs and services. “This is not your typical home show,” says Rick Goodman, show organizer. “It will feature the latest high-end technology and designs to customize a home.”

Universal Appliance and Kitchen Center in Calabasas will be displaying a number of new items for the kitchen. One is TopBrewer from Scanomat, a coffee system controlled by a smart phone. It can make all kinds of coffees such as mochas and lattes as well as cold drinks including sparking water. The equipment is housed under the counter so only a stainless steel tap is visible. It self-cleans after every cup is poured.

Also on display will be Dacor’s four-bottle wine dispenser that can be placed in a cabinet or sit on the counter and the Jenn-Air Steam and Convection Wall Oven that uses steam to preserve nutrients in vegetables and convection cooking for evenly-baked meats and pastries. “It’s very healthy way of cooking,” says Maida Magana, Universal Appliance store manager.

Magana will also be showcasing hands-free faucets that turn off and on by tapping the top of the faucet and toilets that flush with a wave of a hand. “These items are all very sanitary,” she says. “The technology has been available in public spaces. They are now being introduced into the home.”

Other show participants include Lutron Lighting, Legrand US, Geberit, Cory Tile Art, American Vision Windows & Solar and Energtech.

Show hours are 11:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. with wine tasting from local wineries taking place from noon to 5:00 p.m. Cost: $20 ($25 at the door).
