White Party Week Celebrate its 30th anniversary in Miami

White Party Week is six sexy days of fun and music that takes place annually in Miami Beach as a fundraiser for the Care Resource organization.  The theme chosen for 2014 is “Diamond Jubilee”.  Every year, thousands of people come to South Florida from around the world to celebrate, and this year promises to be bigger and better than it’s ever been in the 29 years before. Come to Miami and experience an exciting lineup of music, parties and shows that will keep entertained with non-stop fun. The festival is an amazing time to meet old friends and make new ones as you’re sure to have one of the most amazing weeks of your life. Best of all, White Party Week is the largest HIV/AIDS fundraiser in the world, serving as an event that has always lead the way in helping the LGBT community.

This year White Party Week has lined up some amazing artists and DJ’s, and the music alone could keep you entertained all week. It all starts with the signature kick-off dance event on Thursday, November 27th for the White Journey event at Cameo,  featuring DJ Joe Gauthreaux and DJ Kidd Madonny! Then from November 28th to December 1st there is a constant stream of parties, clubs and events, featuring some of the best DJ’s on the scene. This year featured artists at White Party Week include DJ Abel, DJ Issac Escalante, DJ Micky Friedmann, Dj Ivan Gomez , DJ Joe Gauthreaux, DJ Alain Jackinsky, DJ Paulo and more! The week finally comes to an official close on December 1st with the WhiteHaus3 event, featuring DJ Cris A.M in Key West.  However, there will be plenty of events and festivities for people of all creed and gender throughout the week. There is no doubt that this will be a White Party Week to remember.

Of course we can’t forget the fantastic people that are putting this event together. Care Resource is a non-profit organization that has worked for decades to service the men and women affected by HIV/AIDS. It has worked tirelessly to research HIV/AIDS and does anything that it can to help those affected by it. Care Resource has also expanded its services in recent years to provide even more to help the LGBT community. Primary medical care, case management, substance abuse and mental health counseling, transportation vouchers, home-delivered meals, a food bank and HIV/STD testing and counseling are all now offered by Care Resource to support the community. This service organization delivers frequent education and prevention programs into high risk HIV/AIDS areas, all in hopes of diminishing the spread of this terrible disease. It is undeniable that these guys are doing everything in their power to not only prevent and treat HIV/AIDS, but also to help all of those who are affected by it.

The White Party got its name because, in the words of co-founder Frank Wager “White stands for purity. White is elegant, non-political, non-combative and makes people look just plain beautiful”, which is a huge part of what the whole week is about. White Party Week is a time to let loose, have fun, and to support a great cause. The whole event really brings the LGBT community together in one place, and that in itself can be nothing less than an extraordinary party.

White Party promotes peace and acceptance in South Florida, while White Party’s sister events do the same things all across the world. This year the Florida White Party Week is being held for the 30th time since its start, and it is slated to be the best ever.
