El Nino Update - The Odds are Up!

LOS ANGELES - Oct. 22, 2014 - PRLog -- Monday's are the day for the much anticipated: El Nino 2014 Update!  As of this past Monday, October 20th, the chances are now at 67% (up 2% since last update). National Weather forecasters are predicting an EL Nino year, rather than a Polar Vortex, much of what the country (especially the Midwest) experienced last year.

While this year’s El Nino forecasts may sound like a broken record as we wait to see if the storm hits, the track record of model forecasts for past El Niños and the current state of the atmosphere and ocean tell us that the odds are still really good for an appearance of El Niño this year.

If El Nino could talk he would say: "Your audience of skiers should pay close attention. I usually become strongest during the northern hemisphere winter season. My hot water changes the position of thunderstorms and wind patterns over the Pacific Ocean. This in turn changes the wind patterns all over of the world, which affects the storm track and ultimately where snow will fall. See, I’m kinda a big deal."

Bottom Awesome Line: El Niño is favored to begin during October-December 2014 and last into the Northern Hemisphere through spring 2015!
