NEW YORK - Oct. 22, 2014 - PRLog -- A former Home Depot employee who was initially denied her NY Unemployment Insurance benefits will now be receiving them after a Hearing was held at 9 Bond Street in Brooklyn, New York.

On October 21, 2014, Attorney Redenburg appeared for a hearing to contest his clients' former employer's position that she was not entitled to benefits because the employer alleged that she instructed an hourly associate to construct a piece of furniture while on company time, and allowed it to leave the store without evidence of purchase.

At the New York Sate Unemployment Insurance Hearing, the client's former employer did not appear and so testimony was taken from the client concerning her separation of employment from Home Depot. The Honorable Rachelle Rosenberg heard testimony and allowed counsel to question the client and make closing statements.

A decision was mailed and filed the same day which states that the claimant is allowed benefits with respect to the issues decided therein.

Michael Redenburg represented the NY Unemployment Insurance Hearing victor and continues to represent employees who are denied overtime pay, cheated out of minimum wage and misclassified as independent contractors.
