Epilepsy Services Program Moves to New Manatee Location

BRADENTON, Fla. - Oct. 21, 2014 - PRLog -- Epilepsy Services of Southwest Florida (ESSWFL) has relocated its Manatee County offices to the Healthcare America Medical Office Complex located at 3501 Cortez Road, Suite B909.  Office hours are from 8:30 am to 4:30 am Monday through Friday.

         ESSWFL is a not-for-profit organization providing low or no cost medical services and case management to uninsured adults with epilepsy. The program also offers outreach and education to the community at large.    Epilepsy is a complex spectrum of disorders affecting millions of people in a variety of ways and is characterized by unpredictable seizures that differ in type and severity.   The local program typically provides a client access to a neurologist who can do an assessment to make a diagnosis and treat the epilepsy in the most effective way possible.  Locally, physicians from Bradenton Neurology do pro bono work for the organization.   Bowes Imaging in Bradenton also provides pro bono diagnostic MRI procedures.

ESSWFL serves about 300 clients in Sarasota and Manatee counties. The program also serves De Soto, Charlotte, Glades, Hendry, Lee and Collier counties.
