MIAMI - Oct. 21, 2014 - PRLog -- COMPLICIT examines the odyssey of the SS St Louis which set sail from Germany in 1939 with hundreds of Jewish refugees fleeing the Nazis.  COMPLICIT explores the refusal of Cuba, U.S. and Canada to grant safe haven to the Jewish refugees on board the SS St Louis.  This act became a symbol of the world's indifference to the terrorism of Jews in Europe by the Nazi regime.  This film's timeless messae demonstrates that wherever anti-Semitism has gone unchecked, the persecution of others has been present or not far behind.

Discussion with COMPLICIT directors Robert Krakow and Ruth Ann Kalish will follow the screening.  The film is a production of the SS St Louis Legacy Foundation, a not-for-profit foundation whose mission is to bring "education through drama" presentations to universities, high schools and communities worldwide.  The Foundation creates dialogue and discussion on the critical issues facing contemporary America such as human rights and refugee policy.
