PONTIAC, Mich. - Oct. 21, 2014 - PRLog -- Like snowflakes, the icicles are each unique – and are only here for a limited time.  Beginning October 23 and ending December 31, 2014, the icicles will be available for $25 each through epiphany glass and COTS.  A portion of the proceeds from the sale of the icicles will help COTS provide services which enable people to achieve self-sufficiency and obtain quality affordable housing.

“We are pleased to extend the warmth of epiphany glass studio to the homeless in our city this holiday season,” said Frankie Piccirilli, major gifts manager for COTS.  “April Wagner and her team have created a beautiful new product to not only showcase the plight of the homeless during the winter months, but also help alleviate the cold through the proceeds from the sale of the icicles.   On an average night in Detroit, more than 16,000 individuals and families are homeless.  Buy an icicle to help provide warmth and shelter – it’s a win-win for everyone.”

The icicles may be purchased by phone, by appointment or during open studio times in December by cash, check or credit card.  To purchase by phone, call epiphany glass studio at (248) 745-3786.  For more information, call the studio or email via mary@epiphanyglass.com.

The icicles will debut at the COTS’ Leading Ladies Breakfast on Thurs., Oct. 23 from 8 a.m. to   10 a.m., where they will be on sale for the first time. Opportunities to purchase in-studio at Pontiac’s epiphany glass, located at 770 Orchard Lake Rd., include the annual Holiday Show & Sale, Saturday, Dec. 6 and Sunday, Dec. 7, from noon to 6 p.m., and Open Studios the following Saturdays, Dec. 13 and Dec. 20, from noon to 4 p.m.

The epiphany glass Holiday Show and Open Studio events will feature live glassblowing demonstrations and the opportunity for patrons to create a blown glass flower to take home.   With the glassblowing team, guests can create and take home their own glass flower, during the events or by appointment.  StudioE gift items and collectible art pieces by glass artist April Wagner will also be available.
