It is our Duty to Combat against Extremism and Terrorism in the Cyber World Together

TAIPEI, Taiwan - Oct. 21, 2014 - PRLog -- Recently the most significant news about cybercrime is the propaganda of ISIS for carder recruitment in popular social media. The remarkable feature of postmodern cybercriminal and terrorism groups is that they are eager to adopt new technologies into their strategy planning to commit anti-social acts and collect more support of finance and labor from innocent mob netizens, who live in marginal edge of society without self-confidence and try to find the way to prove themselves. Those youth from minority or immigrant communities with difficulties into main stream society are the major targets for these cybercriminal and terrorist group to recruit.

Actually what ISIS has done is neither the first time nor the last time while cybercriminal or cyber terrorism groups is trying to collect support of finance and labor from cyber world. If you look at behavior pattern of youth, you will find out that they spend more time on Internet activities every day, especially social media and microblogs. They can share their dreams, their frustration, their feeling and their though with those cyber strangers, who are patient to listen and have sympathy on. Once cyber strangers gain the trust of these frustrated youth, they will push these youth to do whatever they dare not to do before, such as join terrorist activities or jihadist wars in other foreign countries. That’s why lots of youth from Western or South Eastern Asia countries run for “romantic” bloody civil wars in Middle East area through cyber propaganda of Al-Qaeda, ISIS…etc.

Some of countries start to set up Internet sentiment system to screen those extremist websites of microblogs and social media, and also monitor all interaction activities among local frequent subscribers. This task is not an easy job, and must be supported by common sense of the entire society against global influence from those Mujahidin terrorist groups.
