GZA GeoEnvironmental, Inc. promotes Paul Davis Ph.D to Principal

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. - Oct. 20, 2014 - PRLog -- GZA GeoEnvironmental, Inc., a leading environmental and geotechnical consulting firm, announces that Paul Davis Ph.D. of Hatfield, MA has been promoted to Principal.

Dr. Davis is a Professional Wetlands Scientist, Certified Soils Scientist and Aquatic Biologist with 28 years of industry experience. In addition to his consulting work for GZA, he is the corporate Technical Practice lead for Natural Resources and Permitting and core lead for the Ecological Services marketing sector.

Dr. Davis graduated with a Bachelors of Science degree in Zoology from UMass-Amherst.  He received a Master of Science in Zoology, a Master of Arts in Marine Affairs and his Doctorate in Biological Sciences from the University of Rhode Island.

He is on the Board of Trustees and a Visiting Professor for Environmental Studies with the American University of the Caribbean; Dr. Davis also serves on the Board of Mustard Seed Mission, Inc., a non-profit organization he and his wife founded to support their volunteer efforts in Haiti.

Dr. Davis is a member of the Society of Wetland Scientists, the Soil Science Society of America, Society of Ecological Restoration, Northern American Lakes Management Society and the Soil Science Society of Southern New England.  He also co-founded and serves on the Environmental Regulatory Committee of the Massachusetts Association of Municipal Airports.

He is a frequent public speaker and has presented papers before numerous symposiums and industry associations.
