Follow on Google News | Tub King Announces its Brand New Line of Safety Suite ShowersTub King, one of the nation’s leading purveyors of Walk-in and Clawfoot Tubs is now featuring its own brand of Safety Suite Showers.
By: Tub King The company is well-known for its Walk-in tubs (and elegant Clawfoot/Pedestal tubs). Made for Tub King by a manufacturer in the USA, this is the first-ever shower product Tub King has carried since the company’s inception in 2004. Tub King’s Safety Suite Showers will make their debut this weekend at the Orlando Home Show, October 24-26 at the Orange County Civic Center. “We’ve known for a while that the emerging trend in bathrooms has been more oriented towards showers,” says Tub King’s cofounder and CEO, Alan Knight. “So for the past several months, we’ve been researching what would be an ideal product for us carry. We’re very excited to offer this new line of safety-oriented showers.” Knight and his team conducted several surveys to determine what would be the best shower configuration to carry. Despite the fact there are self-contained Walk-in Tub/Shower combinations, Knight and his team learned that people don’t want to feel “confined to a bathtub.” Their studies also indicated that in today’s faster-paced world, pragmatically most people don’t have time for baths. Taking its cue from innovative and forward-thinking bathroom design trends they saw while visiting showrooms in Europe, Tub King has now commissioned its own private label of Safety Suite Showers to be built in the USA. “One of the many great things about these showers is they don’t look like a facility for people with ambulatory issues or who are physically impaired,” says Knight. They’re very handsome and there are many designs a customer can choose from.” A client can order the custom shower in either white, biscuit or bone tile. “And there’s also a wide assortment of colored granite,” he continues. Some of the granite patterns available include Beach, Cotton Seed, Violet and Dune. Tub King will start off with two main Safety Shower Suite models ― from which a client can further customize their own design in terms of placement of the shower and temperature controls, as well as the drain (to facilitate installation) There are three different types of seats available, modular, fold-down and a four-legged seat; these too can be customized regarding their placement in the shower. “The seats have a non-slip acrylic surface or, one can choose to have a Brazilian Walnut seat,” Knight says. All showers have several built-in handrails and safety grips. For example, there’s a semi-circular safety grip above the temperature control knob. Specially designed shower curtains that are weighted at the bottom are a standard feature with all shower models and also include the curtain rod. Furthermore, all Safety Suite, Showers are shipped and packaged in either three or five modules, so the unit can easily fit inside any bathroom door for ease of installation. The Safety Suite Shower line also includes a specially designed set of accessories one can order ― bath paper holder, towel rack, and shelf ― all of which have safety grips as well. “Of course, we’re available to do the installation ourselves if someone is nearby us in Jacksonville, Florida,” Knight says. “However, since we’ll be shipping our Safety Suite Showers nation-wide, any licensed plumber can install one. And installation usually only takes a day.” # # # CONTACT: Alan Knight Tub King (800) 409-3375 alan@tubking.com Brothers Alan and Kerry Knight founded Tub King Inc (http://www.tubking.com/ Tub King also sells bathtub fixtures (faucets, water supply lines, drains, overflow protections, tub caddies, and classic Victorian sinks).
