Follow on Google News | The Character Education Partnership Welcomes Michigan Governor John Engler & Dr. Jack LondonBy: Character Education Partnership CEP’s ‘Call to Character Gala’ which will culminate its 21st annual National Forum on Character Education on Saturday, Nov. 1st from 6:30 – 9:30 pm at the Renaissance Hotel in Washington, DC. Interested parties are encouraged to register online. The gala will address the important issues of “Character Beyond the Classroom” and will feature Mr. Engler, who is currently president of the Business Roundtable, and Dr. London, the executive chairman and chairman of the board for CACI. Following the evening program, Dr. London will feature his new book Character: The Ultimate Success Factor, which he will be signing. In his book he discusses a variety of factors that form our abilities and influence the events in our lives, and how there is only one thing that creates genuine success: Character. Gala guests are invited to attend stimulating breakout sessions including “Military Character: Challenges and Solutions” where a panel of top military experts, which includes representatives from the Army, Air Force, Navy and Marines, will focus on today’s challenges and the military’s emerging strategies to enhance the character of its personnel. This provocative discussion will include many takeaways of lessons learned, best practices, what works and what needs to be done in the future.
