Beekeeping is the fastest and lowest cost way to double household earnings in rural Tanzania that is also socially and environmentally sustainable.

Tanzania has over 2 million traditional artisanal beekeepers, but they suffer from lack of access to modern equipment, training, finance and markets. Tanzanian beekeeping has yet to meet its poverty-alleviating potential.

The benefits of their intervention extend far beyond charity. They aim to demonstrate that Tanzania has the human capacity and the natural resources to sustainably and ethically produce high quality bee products.
