LOS ANGELES - Oct. 19, 2014 - PRLog -- The award-winning JazzAntiqua Dance & Music Ensemble continues its mission of jazz dance education, preservation and creation with the premiere of SONG IN A STRANGE LAND – a powerful, contemporary anthem to the African American spirit, told through the movement, music and language of Jazz. SONG IN A STRANGE LAND seamlessly blends choreography by founding artistic director Pat Taylor and special guests Frit and Frat Fuller, recordings by Soulful Symphony, the musical arrangements of bassist Trevor Ware performed live by a jazz quartet, exquisite storytelling by the 8-member dance ensemble, and the writings of June Jordan, John Edgar Wideman, Martin Luther King, Jr., bell hooks, and others into a provocative, entertaining jazz-theatre performance.

Presented in association with Ebony Repertory Theatre, SONG IN A STRANGE LAND premieres Saturday, November 15, 2014 - 8:00 p.m. at the Nate Holden Performing Arts Center - 4718 West Washington Boulevard in Los Angeles. Tickets priced at $20, $30 and $50 (Jazz Circle) can be purchased online at www.ebonyrep.org.  For more information, contact the theatre box office at (323) 964-9766.
