GLENDALE HEIGHTS, Ill. - Oct. 17, 2014 - PRLog -- Sunrise Chevrolet is a Glendale Heights car dealership dedicated to the safety of their customers. Earlier this year, Chevrolet announced a Brake Lamp Recall affecting a few older models. On October 29, 2014, the Sunrise Chevrolet service center will be extending their service hours for a Brake Lamp Malfunction Recall and Pizza Night for customers who have not yet received recall service.

The event will take place on Wednesday, October 29th from 5:30 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. Customers will need to schedule a service appointment to receive recall service during the event and attend the pizza party. The last scheduled appointment is set for 8:15. Each service recall will require about an hour.

While the recall is taking place, drivers will be able to mingle at a pizza party. Both the recall and the pizza are completely complimentary.

This is the second recall and pizza held by Sunrise Chevrolet. The last recall night took place last month on September 24, 2014. Close to 400 hundred people were invited, and the event received notable attention online for its unique approach to taking care of the recall process.

Sunrise Chevrolet customers with vehicles affected by the recall have already been alerted via a mailer. The automaker announced there may be an issue with wiring corrosion in some older models that can cause the tail lamps to come on at random times or not come on when the brakes are applied.

Chevy models affected include the 2004 to 2012 Chevrolet Malibu sedan and the 2004 to 2007 Chevrolet Malibu Maxx, a five-door wagon version of the Malibu sedan. Other General Motors models included in the recall are the 2005 to 2010 Pontiac G6 and the 2007 to 2010 Saturn Aura.

Contact the Sunrise Chevrolet service center online or by calling (630) 942-8300 to schedule a recall time during the event. Drivers are also welcome to come for recall service during regular dealership service hours. Sunrise Chevrolet is here to help during every stage of the recall process.
